Patrick Christl is a filmmaker in every sense of the word. He delves into projects with no hesitations and has explored every facet of movie making. Patrick has had his hands in directing, editing, cinematography, writing, lighting, and even acting. He is no stranger to post-production as he has had extensive experience in creative editing, online editing, and color correction. He had also gained much commercial experience interning at Swell Inc., Chicago, IL, in 2004.

Patrick has a B.A. degree from Columbia College Chicago in Film and Video with a concentration in Directing and Editing. He has edited over 30 films, some being feature length. He is very knowledgeably in film and digital workflows alike. Some of is formats include: Arri and Panavision 35mm and Geniuses, Arri Super16mm, RED, Cannon 1D/5D/7D, Panasonic HPX and HVX, and other various digital formats.

His directorial credits include over 15 films including a feature length narrative, some budgeting over $50,000.

Through out Patrick’s career, he as work for such clients as: Leo Burnett, Costco, HSBC for Best Buy, Sprint, HBO, Dodge, Macys, Chevy, The Pampered Chef, Sara Lee, Harvest Moon Farms, Downtown Milwaukee, Cuisine Populaire, Australian Beef and Lamb, Plate Magazine, Catholic Health Initiatives, Flings Bins, Chicago Greek Film festival, Big Toe Press, and Blue Palm Entertainment.

Patrick’s confidence in his own abilities within the film industry enabled him to become an entrepreneur. He established his own production and post-production company, Realistic Films, in 2004.
